Lakshya Defence Academy (LDA), Jammu is an institution designed to impart specialised training to young aspirants, boys & girls, who wish to join the belt forces. This is probably the only institution in India which provides training both for officer entries and soldier/constable entries under one roof. The training is focused on physical fitness, academic excellence & behavioural patterns required during soldier recruitments, officer written tests and SSB interviews respectively. Being a venture run by Brigadier of Indian Army, Personality Development, Leadership Qualities and English Speaking Skills are inbuilt into the curriculum. Highest standards, akin to Armed Forces, are maintained in the Academy through dedicated, sincere & hard working faculty consisting of retired Army officers, JCOs, NCOs, and civil staff.

Result Achieved: In the last 7 years our 3398 students have joined Forces.   (a)  286 have cleared their SSB Interview to become officers.   (b)  389 have passed their NDA, CDS, AFCAT, ACC, TA, Asst Comdt, SI Police written exam for becoming officers.   (c)  2723 bharti huye in Army/Navy/Air Force/ BSF/CRPF/ITBP/SSB/Police.         (d)  Success rate in our Academy is 96%.

Branches:  LDA has two branches (Main branch is at Ambphalla, Jammu and all registrations are done at this branch).

Officer Written & SSB Coaching. The Branch near Ambphalla, Opposite Ved Mandir, Lane 4, Karan Nagar, Jammu provides Written Exam and SSB Interview Coaching for all men & women officer entries to include NDA, TES, CDS, UES, TGC, Navy Tech & Graduate, AFCAT, TA, NCC, SSC, JAG, AEC, ACC, CW, PC (SL), SCO, and Asst Comdt in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SI/ASI in Police & CPO.

Soldiers / Constables Written. Written Coaching for Agniveer, Soldiers, Navy SSR, AA, MR, Air Force Group X, Group Y, SSC GD, Constables, Head Constables in BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, Police is also conducted in this Branch.

Physical Fitness Training. The second Branch near Bari Brahman (behind Mount Zee Littra School, Tarore) provides physical fitness coaching for all soldier entries to include Agniveer, Soldier GD, SKT, Nursing Assistant, Tradesmen, AEC Havaldar, Navy (SSR, AA & MR), Air Force (Group X & Y), Soldier GD in Assam Rifles  and Constable GD/Head Constable in SSC GD, Police, ITBP, BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB. GTO Tasks for SSB Interview Batch are also conducted in this Branch

Director's Profile:

Brig RS Jamwal did his schooling from Lawrence School Sanawar, Shimla Hills and joined NDA in 1973 to be commissioned as officer into the Indian Army in 1976. He did his BSc, MSc and MBA while in service. A graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Joint Services Staff College, Canberra, Australia and College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, he is widely traveled, having been posted to Namibia & Australia and visited Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Canada, USA, Dubai, Kenya, Botswana, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Sri Lanka. He has seen warlike situations in Mizoram, Nagaland, Srinagar and Siachen Glacier (the highest battle field on earth). He has 18 years experience in coaching officers of the Indian Army and has organised three recruitment rallies in 1998, 2006 & 2007. He was Chairman Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sanjuwan and Chairman of Sanjuwan Army School. He retired from Army after 36 years service in Jul 2012 and established Lakshya Defence Academy in Jammu on 01 Jul 2013 to impart training to all aspirants who wish to join the Belt Forces as Officers or as Soldiers / Constables.

Joint Director's Profile:

Mrs Geeta Jamwal is a Graduate of Govt Degree College, Gurdaspur and BEd from DAV College Hoshiarpur. Mrs Geeta Jamwal worked for sometime in Army School Pathankot and has been the Director of Sanjuwan Army School. She is well traveled, having been to Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Canada, USA, Dubai and Sri Lanka. Widely experienced in teaching and administrative skills, she takes all General Study Classes for soldier entry and is held in very high esteem by the students. She is very popular with the students and is the main guiding force behind the success of Lakshya Defence Academy. She has been instrumental in ensuring 96% success rate in the recruitment of candidates as soldiers.
